Check Model (☑)
One click, pre-solve. Runs the solver's geometry expansion without solving and reports:
- a pass/fail banner (errors mean the solver would refuse the model; warnings mean something was skipped or altered),
- model statistics (nodes, elements, anchors, other restraints, and the expanded analysis-mesh size),
- every error with the exact fix (e.g. "Bend at node 20: tangent length 0.114 m does not fit within adjacent element 'P-3' (0.100 m) — reduce the radius or lengthen the pipe"),
- a no-restraints trap before you waste a solve.
Typical errors: bend radius too large for a leg, tee dimensions larger than a leg, a flange/valve attached directly to a bend or tee node (insert the stated spool). Typical warnings: a bend/tee with the wrong number of connected elements (it will be treated as a plain intersection — no SIF), zero bend radius, clamped flange lengths.
Preview Analysis Mesh (⛓)
The button at the bottom of the 3D viewer (pre-analysis) fetches and displays the expanded solver mesh: bend tangent nodes (20_A, 20_B) and arcs, tee weld-point nodes (50_A/_B/_C), rigid flange stubs, buried-pipe subdivisions. Turn on labels to read the generated IDs — this is how you verify exactly which node a flange or support connects to before solving. Any model edit clears the preview; a diagnostics panel lists the same errors/warnings as Check Model.
Grid Editor (⊞)
A full-screen spreadsheet over the model — the fast way to audit or bulk-edit.
- Elements tab — every element in a row: ID, from/to, length, and editable Section / Material / Specification / Soil dropdowns (each change saves instantly, one undo step), a Rigid checkbox + weight, and flags (VALVE / FLANGE / RIGID).
- Nodes tab — coordinates editable in your display units (commit with Enter or by leaving the cell — moving a node moves its piping), plus restraint / component / point-load / extra-mass overview columns.
Bulk Assign (Assign tab)
Tick element checkboxes (with Select all, Clear, or select by section) and apply one property — Specification, Material, Section or Soil — to the whole selection at once.
Copy / Repeat / Mirror (Assign tab)
Uses the same tick-selection as Bulk Assign:
- Translate copies — enter a dX/dY/dZ offset and a count: the selection is duplicated at offset, 2×offset, … N×offset. Perfect for repeating a rack loop.
- Mirror — one reflected copy about an X-, Y- or Z-normal plane at a position you give.
Nodes come along with their restraints, components, point loads and masses. Any copied node that lands on an existing node (within 1 mm) is joined to it, so repeated loops chain onto shared headers automatically. Each operation is one undo step.
Multi-support generator (Assign tab)
Places a row of identical supports along a straight run at fixed spacing, splitting pipe as needed — described in Restraints & Supports.
Undo / Redo
Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z / Ctrl+Y, or the ↩ ↪ buttons. 20 steps of history; every tool above participates.
Click-to-edit
Click any pipe → element inspector. Click any node → node inspector (coordinates, restraint, loads, component quick-edit). The Inspect tab appears automatically in the sidebar.
