Reading Results & Generating Reports
In the 3D viewer
After a solve, the pill buttons switch Pre-Analysis / Static Analysis / Modal Analysis views. The static view shows the deformed shape (Scale slider 1–50×) with pipe coloured by stress ratio (legend top-right). Hover an element for its ratio; click it for the full numbers. Bends/tees display their governing (enveloped) result.
The results table
Five tabs under the viewer (drag the divider to resize):
- Pipe Stresses — per element: hoop
Sp, axialSa, bendingSb, torsionSt, displacement stressSE, sustainedSL, allowable, effective wall, ratio and PASS/FAIL, at both ends. Bends and tees appear as single enveloped rows (Bend @ Node 20), reported at the governing location. Sort/inspect, and click a row to highlight in 3D. - Displacements — dx/dy/dz (mm) and rotations (mrad) per node; large totals highlighted.
- Reactions — support loads Fx/Fy/Fz/Mx/My/Mz per restrained node — friction forces are included, so these are your support design loads. Spring rows show the spring force.
- Flange Leakage — when flagged flanges exist: equivalent pressure vs. rating per joint (Kellogg or UG-44(b)) with PASS/FAIL.
- All Cases ↔ — after Run All (or the Re-run button here): the per-element ratio matrix across every case, governing case outlined. This is the envelope view.
PDF report
Download Report (PDF) produces a complete calculation report:
- Cover — project details, your company logo and header data, a 3D snapshot, and the engineering disclaimer.
- Analysis basis — load case definitions, global design parameters, material and section tables, restraint schedule.
- Detailed stress results — the full per-element, per-end stress table for the viewed case with PASS/FAIL.
- All-Load-Cases Envelope (after Run All) — ratio per case per element, governing case starred, and an overall envelope statement.
- Displacements & reactions tables; flange leakage page when applicable.
- Executive summary — pass/fail banner, counts, governing element, equation reference, disclaimer.
Report header customization
Settings → Report Header: company name, project number, revision, prepared-by, checked-by, and a logo upload (PNG/JPG < 400 KB). These print on the cover, the info table and every page header, and are saved with the project.
CSV export
Download CSV exports the raw per-element stress table (both ends, all components, moments) for spreadsheets or your own post-processing.
Comparing and sharing
- Copy JSON to Clipboard (Files tab) — the raw model for support tickets or scripting.
- Generate Shareable Link — uploads a read-only clone; anyone with the link clones the model into their own account. See Files & Projects.
